Here’s all you need to know about the 2016 Ghana Music Awards UK…
The first edition of the Ghana Music Awards UK has come and gone. The event slated for November 5, took place in London at the Gaumont Palace. The fun filled night saw performances from Ghanaian super stars like Stonebwoy, Samini, Gyedu Blay Ambuley among others.
Alordia Promotions and West Coast UK, the organisers the 2016 Ghana Music Awards UK, pulled off the event through the numerous interesting packages. The maiden event was hosted by; Kwaku Owusu Frimpong of Rainbow Radio and Vox Africa, Evelyn Asante of ABN Radio and TV, Confidence Haugen and DJ Abrantie, who collectively gave a dashing delivery.
The most important part of the event – the awards, saw some of Ghana’s bests take home several prestigious awards. Dancehall champion –Shatta Wale was adjudged Artiste of the Year. The self acclaimed dancehall king also bagged awards for ‘Music producer of the year’, ‘Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Most Popular Song of the Year’.
Renowned rapper Sarkodie took home the Best Rapper of the Year award. Stonebwoy, Sonnie Badu, Mr. Eazy and many others also took home awards at the event.
