Former National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan says he will not blame President Akufo Addo for the unlawful seizure of state vehicles from officials of the opposition NDC.
According to him, some NPP hoodlums party are behind those unlawful acts at the blind side of President to make him unpopular.
“Nana Addo is the President and cannot oversee everything that happens around him, and so I will not blame him. All these seizures happen on the blind side of him, and so he needs to be vigilant” he said.
Mr. Boateng Gyan was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen programme Tuesday.
His lamentations follow the seizure of vehicles from former government officials and NDC executives and that of his wife.
Mr. Boateng Gyan confirmed on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme that a car belonging to his wife had been allegedly seized by government taskforce.
According to reports, the BMW 7 series registered in 2016 was snatched last Friday from a mechanic’s garage in Accra.
He said his wife who is a retired Prison Officer sent the car for servicing when three soldiers, two policemen and two civilians stormed the mechanic shop for the car.
Meanwhile, Mr. Boateng Gyan called on President Akufo Addo to call his supporters to order and ensure that all state properties are lawfully reclaimed.
