President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has nominated chief executives for the country’s four major cities – Accra, Kumasi, Tamale and Sekondi-Takoradi.
Mohammed Adjei Sowah has been nominated as the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) while Osei Assibey Antwi has been nominated for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).
Iddrisu Musah has been nominated by the president for the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TMA) while Anthony K. K. Sam will head Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), pending approval.
These nominations were contained in a release from the presidency.
“The president has also appointed Charles Bissue, subject to consultation with the Council of State, as a Presidential Staffer,” stated the release signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Flagstaff House.
