Nana Akufo-Addo, flag bearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has no track record on which to run for the 2016 presidential poll because he is “sacking all the Kufuor men …,” Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has said.
For this reason, Mr Amissah-Arthur has asked Ghanaians to vote against the three-time flag bearer and rather ensure President John Mahama gets a second term in office at the December elections.
Addressing supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ahafo Ano South constituency of the Ashanti Region at the weekend, Mr Amissah-Arthur said Ghanaians must not hand over the country back to the NPP since President Mahama and his government are transforming Ghana and changing lives.
Meanwhile, the Vice President has urged Ghanaians to go about the elections peacefully so as to safeguard the country’s democracy.
He urged NDC supporters to shed complacency and intensify their door-to-door campaigns ahead of the polls.
