“Nana Addo and his running mate will go into the history books of this country as a pair of politicians who have told many lies just for purposes of getting power,” Campaign Coordinator of the governing NDC said Tuesday.
He said he’s more worried the danger that Akufo-Addo and his running mate posed for this country should the duo be elected into the high office of the state come December 7 in the general polls.
“That is why we continue to expose those falsehood and untruth that are designed to be told to convince people to vote for him; It is a danger. If Nana Addo was any positive alternative and was coming to do something close to what the NDC is doing today I would not have been worried. But it’s a danger that portends for this country,” Adams argued in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM.
His comments come in the wake of Nana Addo’s claims that the President John Mahama and his Vice, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur are the copyright owners of election rigging in Ghana.
Nana Addo said this illegal practice is exclusive to the NDC in Ghana’s electoral history.
But Kofi Adams in reaction to the largest opposition leader’s comments denied the allegations insisting “NDC will never rig elections.”
He said: “that is why anytime elections is free and fair we will win anyday, anytime. That is why if we are in power, reforms are done;reforms that push our electoral process further and make it even cleaner are always done when NDC is in power.”
