In the company of her running mate, Mrs Patricia Asante, the presidential nominee arrived at the EC office early morning to get her nomination forms that were fraught with irregularities and errors, to amend for submission by 5:00pm today.

Also at the head office of the Commission is the presidential nominee for the United Front Party, Agyenim Boateng, who has brought four subscribers to complete his forms.
The two nominees are currently waiting for officials of the Commission to arrive to attend to them. As of 9:00am Tuesday, only one of the Commissioners had arrived, 3News correspondent Isaac Essel reports.
Madam Akua Donkor told our correspondent that she currently have nobody to assist her in amending the forms, hence would ask that the EC gives her the forms to take away and return same before 5.
Akua Donkor and 12 others were disqualified by the Electoral Commission on October 10 after it found various irregularities and errors, some of which the Commission says bother on criminality, on their nomination forms.
The disqualification was challenged by the PPP, which was given the opportunity by an Accra High Court to correct the errors but that decision was appealed by the EC at the Supreme Court.
On Monday, the Supreme Court upheld part of the High Court decision and further gave consequential orders to the EC to extend the nomination period to close of Tuesday to allow the disqualified nominees the chance to correct their errors.

But the situation took a different twist Monday when some of the nominees showed up to pick their forms to correct the irregularities identified by the EC, which formed the basis of their disqualification.
The EC issued the parties with a letter Monday, which indicated a sudden upsurge in the errors, committed by the various presidential nominees but the parties have kicked against the new tactics by the EC with some threatening to head to the Court again.
