The Chiefs of the Ajumako Traditional Area in the Central region have endorsed the candidacy of President John Dramani Mahama for a second term in office.
They have promised to ensure that the president wins massively in the constituency to boost Mahama’s chances of chalking another victory in the December 7 general elections.
The chiefs attribute their endorsement to the good performance of the president in bringing about significant improvement in the lives of not only those in the area, but the country as a whole.
Speaking at a durbar at Bisease which happens to be the home town of Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson, Deputy Finance Minister and NDC candidate for the Ajumako-Eyan-Essiam, the chief of Bisease who doubles as the Adontehene of the Ajumako traditional area, Nana Okofo Koragye, assured the president of the support of the traditional area in winning a second term bid due to his good works for the people in the district.
The Adontenhene promised the President a 100.1% of total votes cast in the constituency to cushion the president to victory in the December 7.
The president, according to the chief, has brought about massive infrastructural development in the area in the form of schools, hospitals, potable water and good roads which have been of immense benefit to them.
President Mahama on his part expressed appreciation to the chiefs for their kind gesture as he will not relent in providing them whatever will bring substantial improvement in the lives of the people.
It was at this same venue that Nana Addo Danquah Akufo- Addo made his famous promise of one district, one factory.
