Ahomka 99.5 FM in Elmina is the top most Radio in the Central Region for the year 2016, a Geopoll survey has revealed.
The other Central Region based stations that were captured as among the first ten in the region include ATL FM, Radio Central and Cape FM.
According to the survey ratings, six other stations that are outside of the Central Region but made their way into the top ten chart in the Central Region are Accra based Peace FM, Adom FM, Citi FM, OK FM, Asempa FM and Oman FM.
Geopoll has been measuring and examining performance ratings and audience share for top stations in Ghana and other African countries. The countries include Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. The others are Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique and Nigeria.
Commenting on the report, the General Manager of GN Radio, Mr David Max-Fugar said ‘we are excited about this survey report. It only came to confirm what we know all this while. We wish to thank our all our internal and external stake holders especially our audience and advertisers for their support.’
Mr. Fugar noted that the success of Ahomka FM in the Central Region will be replicated across all the GN Radio stations in all ten regions of Ghana.
‘We are currently re-tooling all our stations across the country to ensure that we offer superior service to our audience and advertisers. We believe that when we are done we will be national champions instead of our current status as regional champions.’
