Actor, comedian, Agya Koo has endorsed Ms Catherine Abelema Afeku, member of parliament for Evalue Gwira in the Western region as the best person to handle the ministry of tourism culture and creative arts.
There have been reports that Ms Afeku is highly tipped to become the next Minister for Tourism, culture and creative arts.
In an interview with OneCharles on Otec fm’s Anokyekrom, Agya Koo stated that though many names have come up both on social and traditional media, Ms Catherine Afeku stands tall amongst them, considering her experience and track record.
Names of politicians and creative arts industry players including Socrates Sarfo and actress Matilda Asare have all come up as prospective candidates for the job.
But Agya Koo believes a politician like Ms Afeku should be made the substantive Minister whiles an industry player works under her as deputy.
According to him Matilda Asare should be considered for the position of deputy minister because she played a crucial role in President Akufo-Addo’s victory and has the requisite knowledge and education.
“Though she was six months into her pregnancy, she defied all odds to campaign for Nana Addo and the New Patriotic party.”
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after his investiture last Saturday is expected to release Names of appointees to Serve in his administration.
Nana Addo earlier hinted that, he would only consider people who have fundamental connect to the group of ideas and set up in the party’s manifesto for positions in his administration.
