The Chairman of the Northern Regional Campaign Task Force of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Mohammed Muniru-Limuna, has stated that the party’s quest to garner 85% of total votes in the region is not negotiable.
Alhaji Limuna who is also the Minister of Food and Agriculture, observes that the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot match the NDC in the region considering the level of work the party has executed over the period.
“We have always beaten them and will continue to do that. They are our babies when it comes to the dynamics of winning elections so claims that we rig elections are neither here nor there”, he said
He said the development of the NDC government under President John Dramani Mahama speaks to everything and therefore deserves praise through the ballot to mandate him another term in order to propel the needed development.
According to him, the president is an ordained messenger who has been endorsed by God to lead the country according to Islam saying “In Islam, Leadership is ordained by God and for that matter if he does not make you a leader you can never be one”
Speaking at the constituency campaign launch at Bole over the weekend, he urged the electorate not be left out of the party’s victory because it has already been established and sealed the NDC will emerge victorious.unity-walk-banner2
“What we are now waiting for is for those of you in Bole to join the victory by voting for the NDC so that you are not left out. What I am telling you is whether we like it or not, John has won the elections. As for winning, there is no way”, he emphasized.
The minister appealed to voters in the home constituency of the president not to be complacent but turn up to vote for their brother asking if they are averse to good things in their own backyard.
“You must also be interested in good things from your home because others have paved the way that good things are good for them. We also deserve such things and won’t allow them to slip by”, he concluded.
