The Black Stars have agreed to a 50% cut in their winning bonus from $10,000 to $5000 in the ongoing AFCON in Gabon.
This decision was taken after consultation with Sports Minister-designate Isaac Asiamah who arrived at the Black Stars camp in Port Gentil on Monday.
This means victory in the quarter final stage will attract US$ 5,000, a semi-final stage win will attract US$ 6,000 instead of the initial US$ 12,000.
The players will also bag $7,500 if they lift the trophy instead of the initial $15,000.
The Black Stars beat Uganda and Mali to amass six points and progressed to the last eight with one match to spare against Egypt on Wednesday.
Asiamah also promised that the team will get a special package if they win the ultimate prize.
Ghana will train in Port Gentil ahead of their final Group match against Egypt on Wednesday.
