The Agricultural Development Bank is promising to become the best commercial bank in the country from next year, its Managing Director, Daniel Asiedu has said.
“We have put down the appropriate structures and programmes to ensure that we become the bank of choice in Ghana and with all that we have done this year I can assure you that ADB will become the best Bank in Ghana within the next three years,” he said.
The bank on Monday officially listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange following the successful completion of its Initial Public Offer (IPO) on December 5 that raised about GHC325 million; thus making it one of the largest IPOs ever undertaken on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
Mr Asiedu gave the assurance at a Carols Night Service held in Accra, which saw staff from both the Head office and some branches in Accra read nine Bible verses while the Dansoman Youth Choir provided good music on the evening that was filled with joy and excitement.
He commended the management and staff for their immense support to him since assuming the leadership position of the bank.
“I have enjoyed tremendous support since joining the bank and i think this is the appropriate platform for me to say Thank you for all the sacrifices we have had to endure to ensure our bank remains competitive on the market,” Mr Asiedu said.
Mr Asiedu assured customers that with all the necessary structures and a solid foundation laid, the bank will witness remarkable growth in 2017 and assured staff that their hardwork will yield all the needed positive results.
