Disasters upon disasters have greeted the administration of President Akufo-Addo which is barely 80 days old.
Various reasons have been offered as the causes of the mishaps which have led to the loss of several innocent lives.
While some insists that the occurrences are just mere co-incidences, others argue is as a result of the blood sacrifices politicians engaged during the 2016 general elections.
The latter is the path two communicators of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chose to travel when they appeared on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Monday.
While NDC’s Kwaku Boahen claimed the ‘evil’ deeds of the NPP is what has come to haunt Ghanaians after they won power, the NPP’s Abronye DC argued that if disasters occur as a result of curses rained by politicians during elections, then the NDC is guilty as well as in the run-up to the 2008, it engaged in various rituals to win power.
“Over 2000 persons died through road accidents in 2011 and several others perished through other disasters such as the Circle disaster, can we attribute that to the NDC as well…is it all because of ritauls…,” he quizzed.
This reply did not go down well with the NDC man leading the two to trade words on the show.
