PEOPLE of Manso Abodom in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region have protested against what they described as “the deplorable state of the town and worsening economic conditions”.
The Nifahene of the town, Nana Yaw Adu Gyamfi in an interview with Today over the weekend said Manso Abodom was denied development by the previous government “because they were tagged anti- National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Abodom has never benefited from any governmental project since Adam!” he emphasized.
He explained that the basic school blocks which was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church was put up through communal labour.
He pleaded with the government and philanthropists to come to their aid in building a standard toilet facility to serve the community and also put up new classroom blocks for the Kindergarten Department to solve congestion of pupils in the crèche.
The head teacher, John Kwame Kwakye lamented about the academic performance of his pupils.
