Mr Akufo-Addo beat incumbent President John Mahama at the December 7 polls, after amassing 53.87 percent of the total votes cast. President Mahama won 44.40% of the votes. After a successful campaign, the President-Elect, during a Thanksgiving Service organised by the NPP at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, acknowledged several people who supported the party in diverse ways.
It then happened that the President-elect forgot to acknowledge A-Plus, while thanking his ardent supporters during the pre-election period. However on Monday December 19, Nana Addo took to social media to appreciate the sensational artist.

Throughout the pre-election period, comedian cum musician A-plus, was known for his unflinching support of the President-elect, whom he believed is the answer to Ghana’s problems. As we know, the musician has been in the business of criticizing governments and exposing the ills in the society.
Prior to the 2016 elections, the musician released a single “Aben be bom” which frowned at some of the shortcomings of the present government led by outgoing President Mahama. The song by A-Plus which reportedly incurred the wrath of many on the outgoing party, is said to have been one of the major forces behind Nana Addo’s win.
