7 bodies have been exhumed and graves looted by some unknown persons at Miremano, a town in the Jaman south district of the Brong Ahafo region.
Items used to bury all the 7 bodies including their bones had all be exhumed and stolen when residents visited the burial site.
It is unknown what they plan to do with the bones but residents believe it could be used for ritual purposes.
Assemblyman for the area, Hon Okusie told otec fm’s Kwabena Adjei that grave looting has become rampant in the area but authorities have not been able to arrest the culprits.
According to him, the chiefs and people of the area have decided to pour libation to their gods and ancestors to seek their help in arresting the culprits.
The Jaman South district police command have been notified of the crime and is working hard to bring the culprits to book.
