The 60 Days Challenge of 3FM’s FAT2FIT Season III came to a climax on March 18 at the Aviation Social Center.
The great fitness journey, which commenced on January 15 had about 150 participants sign up to challenge themselves to lose weight and build a healthy lifestyle as well.
The event started at 5:40am with some warm-ups and a few stretches after which this was followed by an aerobic session led by Beatrice Afful affectionately known as Bea De Bully.
Chief Executive Officer and Founder of FAT2FIT Weight Management Company Limited Akoto DerGross congratulated participants on their desire, determination and sacrifice throughout their weight loss journey.
He conceded that this had been the best season so far and was proud of each of the participants on board.
Miss Irene of Aviation Social Center expressed satisfaction in supporting “such a worthy course like the challenge”.
As a health and fitness center, Aviation Social Center is proud to be associated with 3FMFAT2FIT Challenge, she said, encouraging all participants not to end the journey but to make fitness a lifestyle they choose each day.
Winners of the challenge were given free gym membership for a year by the Center.
Ms. Olivia of Ariel’s Haven also expressed her joy on seeing how determined and participatory participants of this season had been especially on the Whatsapp group page of the challenge.
She also encouraged participants to keep it up.
Mr. Michael Boadu of Capital Bank also expressed how delighted Capital Bank was to support the challenge.
To Capital Bank, he said, it was not just enough to provide Ghanaians with the best financial services but also to support Ghanaians achieve health/fitness goals, “for indeed Health is Wealth”.
Mrs. Susan Adu-Amankwah, a participant and a lecturer at Noguchi Institute, also endorsed the 3FMFAT2FIT Challenge and recommended it to all Ghanaians.
She entreated all Ghanaians to take advantage of the challenge to build healthy lifestyles, for a healthy nation is a wealthy nation.
Ms. Josephine Acheampong and Mr. Calvis Hammond were presented and awarded as 3FMFAT2FIT 60 Days Challenge ambassadors for their consistency, faithfulness and immense support to the challenge from Season I to Season III.
Mrs Dianah Darkwah, for emerging winner of the Biggest Weight Loser, received souvenirs from sponsors as well as a six-month free gym membership subscription at the Aviation Social Cneter.
She will also have an account opened for her for free at Capital Bank and a three-month wellness treatement at Ariels haven.
The 1st runner-up was Mr. Isaac Kudu with a weight loss of 15.4kg while the 2nd runner-up was Ms. Shagufta Adams with a weight loss of 13.7kg.
