The 59th Independence celebration of Ghana is underway with the President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama and the Vice President in attendance. The President and his guests are being treated to some of the favorite dance moves in the country.

The leadership of the governing National Democratic Congress is in attendance led by the Chairman of the party, Kofi Porturphy.
The leadership of the Parliament has attended led by Rt. Hon. Speaker Edward Doe Adjaho and the leadership of both the Majority caucus and the Minority caucus.
The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo is also in attendance flung with the acting Chairman of the party, Freddie Blay. Leadership of the other opposition parties is also in attendance.
The former Presidents of the Republic of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor and Jerry John Rawlings are in attendance with their families.
This year’s celebration is graced by the President of Kenya, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta who will give a special solidarity speech to help mark a successful celebration.
The ground is decorated with the colors of the country: red, gold, green and black.
