The VW Sprinter mini bus involved in Friday’s accident on the Tema Motorway
Twenty-seven people sustained various degrees of injuries when the vehicle on which they were travelling was involved in an accident on the Accra-Tema motorway on Friday.
Although no death was recorded, four of the injured are in critical conditions and have been conveyed to the Tema General Hospital where they are receiving medical attention.
The crash, said to have happened around 12 noon around the Community 18 area on the motorway, involved a VW Sprinter mini bus with registration number WR 4749-13.
According to an Eye-Witness, Mr Felix Wilson, the bus was heading to Tema from the Tetteh Quarshie Lorry Station when the back tire burst, causing it to veer off the road and somersaulted.
Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service rushed to the scene to assist with the rescue efforts.
