Described as iconic and the highest and longest flyover in West Africa, Ghana’s newly constructed Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange in Accra was Monday evening opened to traffic to ease vehicular movement.
It was all excitement for the hundreds of Ghanaians who commute through the area daily to their various destinations as President John Mahama cut the tape to open the 1.2 kilometre flyovers which stretches from the Ring Road Central to the Awudome Cemetery.
Our photojournalist, Ayerkie Narnor who witnessed opening ceremony, captured these 25 memorable photos from the event for your viewing pleasure.
