The suspected killer of the late Abuakwa North MP J. B Danquah Adu has appealed to an Accra Magistrate court to allow him to see the face of his newly born child.
Daniel Asiedu was arrested at a time when his girlfriend was reported to be pregnant and has since given birth for which reason he is requesting the court’s permission to see the face of the newly born.
At the last sitting on January 17, the suspect requested the court to permit his family to bring him home cooked-food after he complained that the food he was given in detention was woefully inadequate.
The prosecutor in the murder case Superintendent Francis Baah told an Accra Magistrate Court on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 that Daniel’s food concerns have since been addressed. It is unclear if the court will grant his latest request.
The trial judge Ebenezer Kwaku Ansah ordered the prosecutors to speed up with the bail of indictment and subsequently adjourned the case to February 15, 2017.
Mr. Danquah Adu was found dead in a pool of blood in his bedroom at his Shiashie residence in Accra.
His assailant(s) got access to him through his front window on an upper floor via a ladder. He was survived by a wife and two children.
