Games in Zones F and G of the 2017 Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship will be played on March 25 at the Kumasi Technical University (KTU).
Qualifiers in each zone was set to be honored on different dates but Rite Sports Limited, organizers of the competition, announced the two groups will be merged due to administrative reasons.
Originally, games in Zone G involving 2016 bronze medalist Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) were to be played on March 25 while those in Zone G were expected to be honored earlier on March 22 in Sunyani.
University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) headline teams in Zone G. Winners of the respective zones will qualify to the quarterfinals which will be played in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The remaining spots in the quarterfinals of the competition will be filled with the completion of the aforementioned games.
Prior to the games, the likes of Accra Technical University (ATU), defending champions University of Ghana and University of Cape-Coast have secured places in the latter stages of the renowned competition.
