West Brom won’t drop their pursuit of versatile Leicester City man Jeffrey Schlupp – despite being told to forget about landing the Ghanaian.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the Baggies are refusing to just give up and will continue their push for his signature.
Schlupp is among West Brom’s top summer signing and saw their £12 million bid formally rejected by the Foxes this week.
Leicester are desperate to keep the Ghana international – and are intent on persuading him to sign a new improved contract.
West Brom tabled an initial £12 million bid for his services but was thrown away by Leicester’s top hierarchy.
However, the Baggies are motivated by emerging reports that Schlupp wants the move and could force his way out of the club.
The left-back has three more years on his current contract.
