Players of the Ghana senior national football team the Black Stars have agreed to accept any amount as their winning bonus from the Ghana sports ministry at the ongoing AFCON tournament in Gabon.
Prior to the stars departure to the tournament, it was unclear as to how much they’ll be taking after winning a game.
Former Minister of Sports in the NDC government Nii Lante had ensured the winning bonus be pecked at $8000, a slashed of $2000 from their usual $10000 they’ve been taking since 2006.
In a conversation with the communication director of the Ghana football Association, Sannie Daara revealed to Metro Fm’s reporter Gariba Raubil who is touched base in Gabon that the players have consented to accept any amount the nation will be ready to offer them.
Black Stars will open group D’s fixture with the cranes of Uganda on tuesday 4pm local time.
The other members of the group Egypt and Mali will also face off on the same day at 7pm.
