Asante Kotoko interim manager Michael Osei says his side were just unlucky not to have reached the finals of this year’s GHALCA G6 tournament.
Hearts edged Kotoko out 6-5 on penalties after it ended 1-1 in regulation time on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
“I think luck was not on our side, we played good football, we dominated and as you saw we needed a win but it didn’t happen that way,” he said after the game.
“Penalties can go in favour of anyone, and we were unlucky it did not go in favour of us, we will go back and prepare for the season.
Hearts will now face Aduana Stars in the finals of this year’s G6 tournament.
