Match Preview: WAFA SC vs Asante Kotoko- New look academy boys host bruised Porcupines
After their best ever campaign in the Ghana Premier League last season, finishing second, WAFA SC open this season’s account against Asante Kotoko SC.
The Academy Lads hosts the Porcupine Warriors at the difficult Sogakope park where they last recorded a defeat in January, 2015.
A win will be another perfect start for the hosts.
They go into the new season without several of their integral squad members last term.
Emmanuel Boateng, Caleb Amankwah, Richmond Nii Lamptey, Prince Obeng Ampem and Abdul Wahab Ibrahim have all left the club.
Razak Abalora, Majeed Ashimeru and Komlan Agbegniadan left before the end of the last season.
They will also be without centre back Abukari Ibrahim who is treating an injury.
Latest additions, Sabi Acquah and Konadu Yiadom could make their first bows if selected by gaffer Klavs Rasmussen.
