WAFA SC Klavs Rasmussen says his ‘young’ squad is ready for this season’s Ghana Premier League.
Last season’s runners-up have lost key players including goalkeeper Theophilus Jackson, Majeed Ashimeru, Gideon Waja, Caleb Amankwah, Richmond Lamptey and Emmanuel Boateng.
But the club have promoted some academy players to fill the void.
The Academy have a difficult opener against Asante Kotoko on Sunday at home in a repeat of what happened three seasons ago where they won 2-0.
”So far so good we have been working. A few weeks now have a lot of new players they are a young squad so they are working hard on the conditioning but we are ready,” the Dane told the club’s TV channel.
