Ghana Champions WA All Stars missed out on the prize money of $20,000 at the ongoing WAFU tournament after losing their opening game in the competition.
WA All Stars suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Ivorian giants AS Tanda on Friday.
The loss thus denies them a place in the finals which could possibly give them the opportunity to grab the whooping cash as winners of the competition.
WA All Stars will now play either Liberian Club Barrack Young Controllers or US Goree of Senegal in the third place game for $3,000.
The Northern blues were invited for the mini-tournament after winning the Ghana Premier League last season.
