The Chief Executive Officer of Wa All Stars Oduro Nyarko believes their GFA/StarTimes Gala indicate their readiness for the start of the upcoming campaign.
Wa All Stars beat Premier League newcomers Techiman Eleven Wonders 4-2 on penalties to clinch this year’s Gala competition.
And according to Oduro Nyarko, he was unsurprising about his side’s triumph due to their high-octane pre-season training and was quick to point out that they fight to reclaim their lost Premier League title in the forthcoming season.
“I told the players ahead of the competition, they should show the others the preseason in Legon was no fluke, “he said after the game.
“If they are able to replicate what the Coach has been teaching them in preseason for the past six weeks they were going to win the competition, and even the Ghana Premier League,” he added.
“The prize money will be shared among the players, so I’m going for the money to share it amongst them.”
The Northern Blues pocketed a whopping $5000 as prize money for winning the trophy.
Meanwhile, they will start their campaign against AshantiGold at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
