Acting Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei, has rejected talks that the phobian club is in crisis.
Management of the club has failed to settle salaries of players in the last three months with some players perceived to have made their services available to other clubs.
Speaking to Class Sports, Vincent Sowah Odotei said the situation is not unique to Accra Hearts of Oak but a general problem in the Ghanaian footballing space.
“Look at the GFA itself; has it got a headline sponsor? Is the situation unique to Accra Hearts of Oak? Has the FA gotten sponsorship for the Ghana premier league? When journalists are talking they only look at one side of the story without asking of the other,” he told Class Sports adding that “Journalists are not talking about 18-team league and 20-team leagues and how it can affect the credibility and brand of the football system. My stand is simple: there are problems but before you take a stand, listen to the other side before”.
The aspiring Member of Parliament for La Dade-Kotopon noted that he will continue to work with club owner Togbe Afede XIV to push the club to greater heights.
