Former Ghana skipper Stephen ‘Tornado’ Appiah will join his former Juventus team mates as they play former Barcelona stars in a legendary friendly match in Egypt next month.
Reports in Egypt suggest that the game will be played at the El Gouna Stadium, as organisers, TeleSurf are already holding negotiations with the clubs and the Egyptian government.
Even though a definite date has not been fixed for the game, it is reported that the game will be held between the 14th and 21st of April in 2017.
Juve and Barca are two of the biggest names in European football and it is expected that the likes of David Trezeguet, Del Piero, Stephen Appiah, Antonio Conte will star for Juventus while Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Deco, Carle Puyol and others will star for Barcelona.
Appiah earned the title ‘Tornado’ when he played for Juventus between 2003 and 2005.
The two clubs have won a combined seven UEFA Champions League/European Cup titles.
Last year, former Ghana captain was among a star-studded Juventus Legends side that suffered a 4-2 loss against Shanghai XI in a special friendly in China.
