Nominee for the position of Youth and Sports Minister, Hon. Isaac Asiamah, says his first piece of business will be to use sports as a tool for job creation for the youth, if approved by parliament.
Hon. Asiamah, who is also the Member of Parliament for the Atwima Mponua constituency, was nominated on Thursday by H. E President Nana Akuffo Addo as part of his announcement of his third batch of ministerial nominees and promised to execute all the projects outlined in the sports manifesto. “We are going to position sports so it can be used as a tool for job creation.” “The manifesto is a social contract that we have signed with Ghanaians and everything we wish to do is outlined in the manifesto.
“We are going to make sure that the manifesto works, so that we work accordingly with whatever is in the manifesto.” Hon. Asiamah however urged the public to be await the approval of the parliamentary appointment committee. The Sports Manifesto of the New Patriotic Party includes plans to construct four new Stadia and three sports colleges.
