The Six-Man Committee tasked to search for a new Black Stars head coach has set Friday 10th March, 2017, 5pm as the final deadline date and time for the submission of applications for the job.
The GFA Executive Committee tasked the committee headed by FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi to look for a new national team Coach for the senior national team The Black Stars flowing the departure of Avram Grant about a month ago.
The Committee is mandated to target suitable and competent coaches for consideration even if they don’t apply for the post as well as those who will apply for the job.
In a statement published on the official website of the Ghana FA, coaches who desire to handle the Black Stars are to submit their applications before the deadline date.
“… the committee therefore reminds coaches –both local and foreign who are interested in coaching the Black Stars to send their applications and supporting documents to the Committee at the email address: [email protected] or Ghana Football Association P. O. Box AN 19338, Accra on/before the deadline above,” the statement read.
Insiders say the committee will take ten days to prune the list and shortlist five coaches, one of whom will be the eventual Black Stars coach by March 20.
Ghanasoccernet gather that about 75 coaches, both local and foreign have submitted their applications for the job with Uganda coach Micjo and Harry Redknapp leading the pack for those to be head hunted.
Ghana are keen to announce a new coach by April this year to prepare for the 2019 AFCON qualifier with Ethiopia in June.
