Dreams FC left it late to pip Elmina Sharks at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday afternoon to pick their first win of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League.
A late striker by Zuberu Sharani was all Dreams FC needed to pick all vital points from a difficult game.
It was the first Premier League game at the Theatre of Dreams since 2016 and it never lacked drama.
A quality save by Elmina Sharks goalkeeper, Joseph Essam denied Dreams a first half lead – a save that sent Essam to the hospital after landing badly on the pitch.
Both sides failed to fund the back of the net before the break in what could be described a cracking encounter.
Both sides returned from the break with Elmina Sharks looking a better side than the home side.
It all looked set to end in a frustrating draw for Dreams FC but Sharani had other ideas as he struck beautifully from the edge of the Sharks 18 yard box to give Dreams a very late lead on the 90th minute mark.
An additional five minutes was not enough for Sharks to recover from the shock as Dreams secured all 3 points.
Dreams FC will be clashing with Berekum Chelsea who lost their opener to Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
