Newly appointed Asante Kotoko coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin has expressed his joy over his new position.
The Porcupine Warriors hot job became vacant following the sacking of coach Steve Polack last Friday.
The Englishman was shown the exit by the club board after their failure to make it to the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup, where they were eliminated by Congolese side CARA Club 7-6 on penalties.
After putting pen to paper as the clubs’ trainer ahead of the coming season, the 57-year-old burly gaffer expressed his delight over the new position and vowed to work hard to become a success.
“I am delighted to be here. I promise to work hard to improve the team and get it at the level that we all can be proud of,” the former Black Starlets coach stated.
The new coach met his Assistant Akakpo Patron shortly after the signing and would meet the rest of the technical team and the playing body at the Adako Jachie training grounds today.
Fabin previously coached Hearts of Lions and Hearts of Oak, and was also been the interim head coach of Inter Allies before becoming the head coach of the Black Starlet side.
