The South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that they will play Ghana in a friendly next month.
This comes after Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively revealed on Friday that the Black Stars will face Bafana Bafana as the West Africans eye the preparatory match ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
The senior national team, the Black Stars, will face the Bafana Bafana on October 11, just few weeks before they face the Egyptians in Cairo.
The friendly match will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, SAFA has confirmed.
“Bafana Bafana will face the Black Stars of Ghana (Tuesday, 11 October) in an international friendly match that will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban,” a statement on South Africa’s FA website reads.
“Kickoff is at 19h00 and tickets are already on sale at R80 all round. They can be purchased at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers.”
The Black Stars will face Bafana Bafana immediately after their World Cup qualifying opener against Uganda on October 7 in Tamale.
The match promises to be an entertaining one especially when both sides will use the game as part of their preparations towards their World Cup qualifiers.
Coach Avram Grant will be hopeful of defeating the South Africans at their own backyard to give his team a winning mentality.
