Sulley Muntari’s brawl with Ghana Football Association spokesperson Sanni Darra continues unabated after launching a scathing attack on the Communication Director.
The former AC Milan midfielder is believed not to have a good relationship with Sanni Daara who has been working as the spokesperson for the Nation’s Football governing body for some time now.
His latest scorning on the former BBC Sports Broadcaster came during an interview with Starr FM where he labeled the deputy general secretary of the FA as a “lair”.
“Saani Daara shouldn’t lie to people, he shouldn’t lie to Ghanaians, I speak to Nyantakyi I have no problem with him . . . so where from you Sannie coming to defend.
“If something happens and they have an interest he calls or they write something quickly to defend themselves,” he told Bola Ray on Starr FM.
“You don’t know anything about football . . . there are many many people who know a lot of things about football . . . Sanni knows nothing . . . That is why we are going back,” Muntari said.
The Ghana star was given booking for complaining to the referee about racist abuse he received from some Cagliari fans and was slapped with a second yellow card for leaving the pitch without permission.
The referee’s action indicated that Muntari was booked for dissent after asking the referee to stop a Serie A match after spotting some of the fans racially abusing him.
The 32-year-old ex-Ghana international then walked off the pitch in protest – for which he received a second yellow card, officials have now confirmed.
A Serie A disciplinary committee upheld his punishment but said it could not punish the fans as only “approximately 10” were involved in the racist chants – not enough to trigger action under its own guidelines.
They added not enough fans took part in the abuse to trigger action.
FIFA sharply disagreed with the ruling of Italy’s FA Disciplinary Committee insisting that racism must not be condoned in football.
