The Football Union of Russia has named a 23-man squad for a friendly with the senior national team of Ghana on September 6 in Moscow. The coaching staff of the Russian National team headed by Stanislav Cherchesov also announced that the players will also participate in a warm-up game for Black Stars against Turkey on August 31 in Antalya.
Chercchesov handed call-ups to former Chelsea full-back Yuri Zhirkov, Alan Dzagoev of CSKA Moscow as well as Zenit st Petersburg striker Artem Dzuba.
The 23-man squad is also supplemented by three stand-by players – defenders Ilya Kutepov (FC Spartak, Moscow), Mario Fernandes (PFC CSKA Moscow) and midfielder Roman Emelyanov (FC Ural, Ekaterinburg).

Goalkeepers: Igor Akinfeev (PFC CSKA Moscow), Soslan Dzhanaev (FC Rostov, Rostov-on-Don), Stanislav Kritsyuk (FC Krasnodar).
Defenders: Vasily Berezutsky (CSKA Moscow), Yury Zhirkov (FC Zenit, Saint-Petersburg), Fedor Kudryashov, Ivan Novoseltsev (both – FC Rostov, Rostov-on-Don), Roman Neustädter (FC Fenerbahçe, Turkey), Sergey Petrov (FC Krasnodar), Andrey Semenov (FC Terek, Grozny), Roman Shishkin (FC Lokomotiv, Moscow).
Midfielders: Yury Gazinsky (FC Krasnodar), Alan Dzagoev (CSKA Moscow), Roman Zobnin (FC Spartak, Moscow), Maxim Kanunnikov, Magomed Ozdoev (both – FC Rubin, Kazan), Alexey Miranchuk, Alexander Samedov, Dmitry Tarasov (all – FC Lokomotiv, Moscow), Oleg Shatov (FC Zenit, Saint-Petersburg).
Forwards: Artem Dzyuba (FC Zenit, Saint-Petersburg), Dmitry Poloz (FC Rostov, Rostov-on-Don), Fedor Smolov (FC Krasnodar).
Stanislav Cherchesov’s charges will start preparations for the friendly matches on August 29.
