Former Ghana U20 defender Joseph Aidoo inspired Begian side Genk to a wonderful 3-1 win over Zulte-Waregem in the Belgium First Division.
The former Inter Allies defender was on top of his defensive duties, creating an unbreakable barrier after Zulte-Waregem had been gifted with an equalizer with six minutes to the break.
Aidoo lasted the entire duration of the game.
Genk opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Karelis but Harbaoui equalized to the visitors from the spot.
The second half was completely dominated by the home side with Aidoo stealing the show and forcing applauds from the vociferous home fans, showing massive agility and strength.
Buffel restored the lead for the home side with a minute to the half hour mark with Pozuelo increasing the tally to 3-1 on the stroke of regulation time.
The heavy win consolidated Genk at the 6th spot on the league table with just three points separating them from 4th-placed Gent.
Aidoo has been an inspirational figure at the back for the Essevees, earning recognition from his team mates as The Rock.
