Gnagne at the signing of the contract
Accra Hearts of Oak have ended speculation surrounding the future of their captain Robin Gnagne by tying him down to a one-year contract.
Gnagne was reportedly unhappy at the club and dragged his feet during negotiations on an extension earlier this year but the Phobians have finally secured their skipper on improved terms.
It is understood that the new contract has a clause which will allow him to leave anytime a suitable offer is received from a foreign club.
The deal ends all interest in the 26-year-old player from local clubs including Kumasi Asante Kotoko who were rumored to have held talks with Gnagne.
The centre-back joined the Phobians in July 2012 from the Red Bull Soccer Academy in Sogakope.
