Wa All Stars goalkeeper, Richard Ofori is set to leave Ghana for South Africa to complete his transfer to PSL side Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Black Stars goalie earned the move after an outstanding 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League season, helping his club, Wa All Stars to lift a first ever league title.
The highly rated shot stopper was in South Africa after the 2017 African Cup of Nations but the deal fell through due to failure to complete some paper work.
However, Ofori is set to leave Ghana on Thursday Evening for South Africa where he is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Brazilians despite reported interest from another PSL side Ajax Cape Town.
The 23-year old, who was named the best keeper of 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League, missed the opening five fixtures in the domestic championship for Wa All Stars but has since return to take care of the goal keeping duties in the last two games.
His departure to the PSL means Wa All Stars has to restore faith in Baba Musah and Rashid Seidu whiles Eugene Sodjah has also been recalled from his loan spell by the head coach of the side.
Richard Ofori was part of Ghana’s AFCON 2017 Squad that finished fourth in Gabon.
