Ghanaian coach Avram Grant has released the lineup for today’s semi-final clash with Cameroon The list rather surprisingly includes 29-year-old goalkeeper Razak Brimah in post.
There had been reports that goalkeeper Razak Brimah had been dropped following his outburst on social media a couple of days ago over what he termed ‘unfair criticism’ by a section of Ghanaians.
Ghanaian journalist and sports pundit Gary Al Smith had tweeted that the 29-year-old Brimah had been dropped from the starting XI in the match against Cameroon due to his comments on social media.
Gary later deleted the earlier tweet which proposed that Brimah had been replaced with Fatau Dauda, apologizing for the misinformation.
I’ve deleted the previous two tweets with the Ghana XI with Dauda starting. Apologies. #OneOfThoseRareDays— Gary Al-Smith (@garyalsmith) February 2, 2017
However, a series of tweets from other Ghanaian sports journalists who are currently in Gabon suggest Brimah will feature in tonight’s encounter.
Ghana line up unchanged from DRC. Braimah starts.Ignore all the Fatau tweets #Pulsesports— Godfred A.Boafo (@eastsportsman) 2 February 2017
