Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng has poured water on reports that he is interested in taking up the post as technical director of Asante Kotoko.
The veteran tactician was on Thursday morning strongly linked with the post alongside Malik Jabir who has been spotted with the team in recent time.
“No, I have not been offered the job and I must say I am not interested in the job,” Oti Akenteng told Accra based CITI-FM
“It was a question that someone asked if I will be willing to help them and I am a technical director of the FA so why not? I do same for other clubs so why not Kotoko?.”
“I travelled with Medeama in a similar role just to help and advice the team but that was it so I am not interested in taking up the job as technical director of Asante Kotoko.”
Asante Kotoko are without a win in their last five games in the league and will have to make it count against WAFA this weekend if they want to remain in the hunt for the league title.
