The President of Tema Youth Football Club Wilfred Osei Kweku Parmer has debunked reports in the local media that former club midfielder Moses Odjer has passed on, insisting it’s a hoax.
The Executive Committee member of the Ghana FA says such reports must be treated as lies and the media must do well to confirm before putting them out since they involve someone’s life.
The owner of the Tema-based Division One side added that he was talking to the player minutes after GHANAsoccernet.com called for a confirmation of the news.
“I also saw the news on some platforms that the players has passed on. I was startled. In fact I could have thrown my car away if I were driving,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
“I quickly called the player and he told me he was fine and that there is nothing wrong with him.”
“I felt okay because I had confirmed that he was not dead. I just spoke to him not long ago so kindly rubbish the story. It’s not true,” Parmer added.
The 2013 Ghana U20 star who was in Ghana recently for holidays left for Italian Serie B side Salernitana where he is currently having pre-season.
