Northern Regional Football Association chairman Abdullah Alhassan has fiercely descended on Kudjoe Fianoo for following his suggestion that Ghana FA president, Kwesi Nyantakyi travels more than a pilot and challenged him for the FA presidency.
Fianoo, who is heads the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), has reiterated his determination to occupy the Ghana Football Association following Kwesi Nyantakyi’s decision to step down from the position when his tenure expires in 2019.
Fianoo has been a known critic of Nyantakyi but he took his opprobrium to a new turn some weeks ago when he attacked the CAF 1st Vice by claiming that he must sit at the federation’s headquarters every day to administer in the game in the country.
However, the budding football administrator reprimanded Fianoo for the assertion and intimated that he capable of ending the FA presidency dream of the vociferous former AshantiGold chief.
“If I contest with Kudjoe Fianoo I will win the presidency, he is not a match for me,” he told Happy FM. “So for my brothers I will tell them to leave the contest for me and Kudjo Fianoo and if I win the presidency they will support me to run Ghana Football,” he added.
“Kurt should withdraw, Mr. George Afriyie should not come out, Mr. Fred Pappoe, I will beg him not to come out. Leave me and Kudjo Fianoo, I will beat him hands down.”
Alhassan Abdulai believes the former Ashantigold Chief Executive Officer is wrong to run down an office he wants to work in. There has been a bantam of words between FA Chairman Kwesi Nyantakyi and Kudjoe Fianoo after the latter labelled the President and his vice travelling more than pilots.
Nyantakyi replied with a quote branding Kudjoe Fianoo as a small mind who discusses people.
“I want Ghanaians to understand that, it’s not good to run down the office you want to rule one day, you don’t do that. At a point when we should be celebrating the Ladies after their triumph you rather bring up issues of Presidency,” Abdullai added.
