Western Regional RFA Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Kojo Yankah has slammed the Youth and Sports Minister, Nii Lante Vnaderpuye insisting that he has no power to decide for the GFA.
The minister ahead of the Uganda clash asked the GFA to demand a whooping of amount of $600.000.00 from South Africa or he calls of the match because the Black Stars players are not cheap players
This statement of the former GBC worker did not go down well with the members of the FA. The Vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie slammed the minister for asking them to demand more from the SFA.
Despite the minister granting them the permission to play the friendly, Mr. Yanka still believes Nii Lante Vanderpuye does not own the Black Stars.
“I don’t understand why the Sports Minister [Nii Lante Vanderpuye] is behaving like this because he has no authority to decide for the FA.” Mr. Yanka told the media.
“If he thinks he owns the Black Stars, he should write letters to the various teams of the players requesting that he needs the players and let see if the clubs will release the players. It will obviously not happen because he is not a member of the FA and there is no way he can decide for the FA”. He added.
The Black Stars will take on the Bafana Bafana on Tuesday evening in Durban in an international friendly.
