The newly appointed National Sports Authority (NSA) Director General Mr Robert Sarfo Mensah has been sworn in to begin his new role.
Mr Sarfo Mensah, a former Member of Parliament for Asunafo North, was appointed by President Nana Akuffo Addo in April to replace the former Director, Mr Joe Kpenge.
In the short handing over ceremony at the Director General’s office, Mr. Kpenge handed over to the 47-year-old former MP.
Mr Sarfo Mensah holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management and Corporate Leadership and once served as the chairman for the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC).
The NSA is the parent body for all the sports associations in the country and is responsible for the administration of sports in Ghana.
Mr Kpenge, who was the Director General of the National Sports College in Winneba, was appointed by former President John Mahama in June 2014 to replace Madam Alice Attipoe.
