Accra Hearts of Oak forward Cosmos Dauda says he is delighted to have finally scored his first goal this season.
The former Mighty Jets man was Hearts’ top scorer last season with 11 goals but has struggled to find the net this season.
Dauda got Hearts’ fourth goal in their 4-2 win over Bechem United, to register his name on the score sheet for the first time this season.
He admits he felt disappointed at his lack of goals but believes yesterday’s strike is the first of many for this season.
“I really feel I disappointed a lot of people who had their confidence in me. Last season was a sparkle for me.
In life, sometimes you get it good and sometimes it goes bad.
I have actually been working harder than before but it’s all about results, when the results go well you get applauds, when it doesn’t you get boos.
So I’m really happy I put a smile on the faces of the fans, and I can assure them that my best is yet to come,” he said. Hearts travel to Obuasi to take on AshGold in their next Ghana Premier League fixture.
