Medeama president Moses Armah is backing Aduana Stars to knock ES Setif out of the CAF Champions League.
The two-time Ghana Premier League champions takes a slender 1-0 advantage into the reverse fixture in Setif next week.
Already tension is building in the air after the Algerian side threatened to ‘rob’ the Ghanaians after claiming they were attacked while in the West African nation.
The defeat to Aduana Stars was the club’s first in 16 games in a CAF Competitions preliminary, first or second round fixtures.
But Medeama president Moses Armah, who spearheaded his side’s qualification into the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2016, is confident about the chances of the Dorma-based side.
“Aduana have what it takes to overcome them. I dont see any difficulty at all,” he is quoted by medeamasc.com
“They have enough depth in quality to scale the hurdle. At this crucial moment, it’s important they maintain their calm.
“They (ES Setif) will try several means to frustrate them, but they should always be one step ahead.
“Let’s all pray for them to secure qualification to the group stage. It’s will be good for Ghana football.”
The return fixture will be played at an empty stadium.
