Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu believes South Africa have handed his side the requisite test to prepare for next month’s World Cup qualifier against Egypt.
Ghana were the better side at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday as they took the lead in the first half through a Mubarak Wakaso spot kick.
But just six minutes into the second half Sibusiso Vilakazi found Ayanda Patosi at the edge of the area for the midfielder to curl a right-footed effort beyond Adam Kwarasey, who misjudged the flight of the ball due to the wind.
Despite dominating the match, Konadu thought Bafana Bafana have helped sharpened their arsenals.
“It was a very good exercise; we know how our opponents play,” he told SABC TV after the match. “We were not wrong in saying that [Bafana] are a very good and skillful team.
“In general I would say it was a good match; the exercise was good for us. We have seen our mistakes and we’ll go home and correct them to make sure that we do better next time.”
